Le monde du MMA s’est réuni ce 7 juillet 2018 à Rome en assemblée générale constitutive. L’élection du comité directeur s’est faite à l’unanimité. La GAMMA a d’ores déjà mis en place son calendrier pour les 2 saisons à venir. L’annonce de son prochain championnat du Monde sera communiquée dans la semaine.
GAMMA est née. Rome 9 juillet 2018.
La Fédération mondiale de MMA a été créée dans l’ancienne cité des gladiateurs.
Les principales fédérations nationales et acteurs des arts martiaux mixtes du monde entier se sont réunis le samedi 7 juillet 2018 dans la ville historique des gladiateurs, à Rome, pour mettre en place une nouvelle gouvernance mondiale du MMA.
L’objectif est de créer une Fédération mondiale amateur démocratique et transparente qui vise à organiser le MMA en tant que sport olympique officiel permettant une participation identique et égale des femmes et des hommes, des programmes d’éthique, des tests antidopage, des programmes pour enfants, aide aux pays défavorisés.
GAMMA commencera avec un comité directeur avant la fin de cette année 2018.
Le premier Championnat du monde amateur gamma aura lieu dans un tournoi de 4 jours qui sera bientôt annoncé.
Le Conseil de GAMMA est dirigé par Alexander Engelhard (Pays-Bas), ancien vice-président mondial et Secrétaire général de WMMAA, tandis que le premier vice-président est l’italien Carlo di Blasi, promoteur des principaux combats internationaux pro shows en Europe, y compris Oktagon.
Le Conseil est composé par les présidents de la Fédération de MMA, tous membres du MMA mondial.
« GAMMA est née, a déclaré le nouveau Président Engelhard, afin de répondre aux exigences du monde MMA amateur, d’avoir une Fédération internationale de MMA répondant à des critères démocratiques et transparents permettant vraiment de prétendre d’être reconnue par IOC et, de pouvoir organiser immédiatement des tournois entre les fédérations nationales, telles que des activités sportives et des programmes éducatifs « .
La structure mondiale de GAMMA est la suivante, des Fédérations continentales seront créées par les fédérations nationales à l’assemblée générale lors du premier Championnat du Monde GAMMA.

The world of MMA was held on 7 July 2018 in Rome in the constituent General Assembly. The election of the committee board and executive committee was unanimously. The General Association of Mixed Martial Arts starts from the ancient city of gladiators.
The main national federations and stake holders of Mixed Martial Arts from all over the world met Saturday July 7th 2018 in the historic city of gladiators, Rome, to establish a new amateur governing body for MMA.
The goal is to create a democratic and transparent world amateur federation that aims to organize the MMA as an official Olympic sport with fair competition for women and men, ethic programs, antidoping tests, kids programs, help for disadvantaged countries.
GAMMA will starts with an officials clinics before the end of this year 2018.
The GAMMA first amateur world championship will be held in a 4 days tournament to be announced soon.
The board of GAMMA is leaded by Alexander Engelhard (Netherland), former world vice president and secretary general of WMMAA, while the first vice president is the Italian Carlo Di Blasi and promoter of the main fighting international pro shows in Europe, including Oktagon.
The board is comprised by presidents of MMA federation from all over the world.
“GAMMA is born – said new president Engelhard – to give to the MMA amateur world an answer to the requirement to have a clean, democratic and transparent international federation of MMA that can really claim to be recognized from IOC and immediately have tournaments and programs shared between all country’s members in order to give immediately sport activities and educational programs”.
The world Structure of GAMMA is the following one, while the continental ones will be defined by the country’s members at the following world congress during the GAMMA world championship.
